L. C. FOX-SMITH - 05/06/25: I recently read Psalm 19. This Psalm tells us how we can know God through His creation and His word. It ends with a short prayer in verse 14 that really gripped me: ‘Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.’
I love how the prayer focusses on integrity, not just in what we say, but in what we think, feel and do. It’s easy to say the right things but not so easy to align our thoughts and actions with the words that come out of our mouths.
Overall, Psalm 19 is a great reminder that God is all around us and when we seek Him and draw close to Him, He will give us the strength we need. His word will shape us, and change our character - but only if we invite Him into our lives and grow in our faith. It's such an awesome concept that God has revealed Himself and we are able to respond.
